Geumsan Ginseng Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems
The Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) was introduced by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in 2002 to preserve globally unique agricultural systems, biodiversity, and traditional agricultural knowledge. As of July 2018, over 50 sites in 20 countries have been designated. In Korea, Geumsan Traditional Ginseng Agriculture became the fourth GIAHS site and the world's first for ginseng cultivation.

"Ginseng Street" is the largest traditional medicine market in the central region and a global-scale ginseng market.
