In Nature World in Nam-myeon, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, the 3rd Taean Lighting Festival presents the beauty of splendid light together with various events such as fireworks.

As Taean’s representative festival, the Taean Lighting Festival is a popular dating course and tourist destination for families because it is held near various tourist sites such as beach, forest lodges, and arboretum. It provides splendid landscape full of beautiful scent all year round by installing 6 million LED lights on a 115,700㎡ lot and planting various fragrant flowers.

This year, the festival will increase the density of light by installing additional LED lights and offer happiness to lovers and families who visit the festival by installing a hill called “Love Lock” near the lake within the festival venue.

In addition to new contents, the festival venue has the following attractions that draw great responses from visitors: ▲ 70m-long “Hope Tunnel” shaped in the universe and used as a popular photo zone for tourists; ▲ thrilling suspension bridge and large swan and crane sculptures; ▲ “Trojan Horse” and “Angel’s Wings” made of hundreds of used tires; and ▲ various light sculptures such as “Light Train,” “Light Forest,” and “Love Bridge” that pass through the Heart Tunnel. The festival provides a feast of beautiful lights all year round through the continuous expansion and improvement of facilities.

Within the venue of the light festival, the “Forest Campsite” lets visitors enjoy the sea, light, and camping. It is immensely popular among family-unit tourists.

“We are steadily expanding the area of the light festival venue to provide maximum enjoyment to tourists who visit the venue. We keep researching to secure various contents. We will do our best to make the light festival Korea’s best festival in the coming years,” a festival staff member said.

Taean Lighting Festival is open all year round. Admissions begin from 6-7pm, and lights are turned on after sunset.
