Krzysztof Grabowski, Deputy Marshal of the Wielkopolska region, visited Chungcheongnam-do on November 23, 2015.
The visiting group consisted of six people including Deputy Marshal Grabowski, mayor of Krotoszyn, and several agricultural experts. Since the establishment of sisterhood relations between Chungcheongnam-do and Greater Poland Voivodeship, 160 people have visited each other’s country for 18 sessions.
This visit comes after three government officials from the Chungcheongnam-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services participated in the Academy Program held in the Wielkopolska region in September and operated the Chungcheongnam-do Promotional Center for TASTES OF THE REGIONS Fair (Smaki Regionow).
Chungcheongnam-do will invite 5-7 government officials from Greater Poland Voivodeship next year and offer training for 10 days at the Agricultural Research and Extension Services in order to transfer advanced agricultural technology and exchange with experts.
“Next year’s agricultural technological training will be able to increase cooperation between the state and province,” said the Governor of Chungcheongnam-do An Heejung at a meeting with Deputy-Governor Grabowski.
In response, Deputy-Governor Grabowski expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality and hope of expanding exchanges in various fields as well as in agriculture.
The group from Greater Poland Voivodeship visited the Chungcheongnam-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services (Yesan) as well as other cultural industrial facilities such as Daeheung Slow City (Yesan), the Royal Tomb of King Muryeong (Gongju) and Gongsan Fortress (Gongju), Baekje Cultural Land (Buyeo), Chungnam Techno Park (Cheonan), and Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (Cheonan).
Previously, Governor An Heejung made an official visit to Greater Poland Voivodeship on April 27 and met with Marshal Marek Wo?niak and discussed measures to expand exchanges between the state and the province.
